| Description: | Responsible for the efficient handling and control of the parts business through proper inventory, record keeping, delivery and reporting as well as other duties as specified by management. |
| Duties: | Records and places in inventory all incoming parts, units, components and assemblies. Sees that the Parts Department is maintained in a clean, orderly manner and that safety and security are maintained. Communicates with customers in a friendly, pleasing and personal manner. Works with other department personnel to assist them with parts information as required. Analyzes inventory on hand and usage patterns and prepares out of stock forms as directed. Maintains parts records, literature, brochures, lists, catalogs, bin tags, and price sheets as appropriate. See's that deliveries are made on schedule, advises customers of any known delays. Tactfully helps customers solve parts problems, identifies proper part numbers, completes order forms and recommends and sells related items. Maintains a high degree of proficiency with regard to the parts business and functions performed. Takes advantage of opportunities to increase parts knowledge through attendance at meetings, seminars and schools. |
