| Description: | Immediate opportunity for DIESEL ENGINE TECHNICIAN in our Savannah, GA location. Candidates with experience on Detroit Diesel engines or MTU engines preferred. Technician will repair, overhaul and maintain diesel engines in trucks, generators, buses and other equipment. Candidate must have EXPERIENCE on diesel engines, have own tools and reliable transportation. |
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following - other duties may be assigned. Performs accurate failure analysis and troubleshooting using sophisticated electronic diagnostic tools. Discusses findings with customer, proposing solutions that optimize customer satisfaction. Creates job repair plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations required and anticipated repair hours needed to complete repair. Utilizes electronic procedure guides and tools to determine best route to repair. Determines parts requirements to complete repair using electronic parts catalogs. Maintains own tool inventory adequate to perform assigned repairs. Develops accurate records of repairs performed and parts used to assist in the proper filing of warranty claims and/or customer invoices. Follows all safety and EPA regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area. |
| Qualifications: | MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of related experience. |
