Experienced JOURNEYMAN Diesel Technician - Savannah

Immediate opportunity for JOURNEYMAN level DIESEL ENGINE / BUMPER TO BUMPER TECHNICIAN in our Savannah, GA location. Candidates with experience on Detroit Diesel engines or MTU engines preferred as well as fluent knowledge of Bumper-to-Bumper repairs. Technician will repair, overhaul and maintain diesel engines and truck systems in trucks, generators, buses and other equipment. Candidate must have EXPERIENCE on diesel engines and Bumper-to-Bumper repairs, have own tools and reliable transportation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following - other duties may be assigned. Performs accurate failure analysis and troubleshooting using sophisticated electronic diagnostic tools. Discusses findings with customer, proposing solutions that optimize customer satisfaction. Bumper-to-Bumper repair knowledge highly preferred. Creates job repair plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations required and anticipated repair hours needed to complete repair. Utilizes electronic procedure guides and tools to determine best route to repair. Determines parts requirements to complete repair using electronic parts catalogs. Performs authorized repairs as assigned at a specified level of quality and Labor Recovery Rate commensurate with company guidelines for a Journeyman Technician. Travels to customer's location to perform repairs when necessary. Maintains own tool inventory adequate to perform assigned repairs. Develops accurate records of repairs performed and parts used to assist in the proper filing of warranty claims and/or customer invoices. Responds promptly to after-hour call-out service at the request of management. Takes responsibility and leads small groups of technicians when requested by management to accomplish assigned tasks. Follows all safety and EPA regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of related experience.
